This essay explored the question, “Is the American Dream Flawed
According to John Steinbeck in the Labor Trilogy?” The American Dream is an
integrated way of thinking that the Americans implement in society: a beacon
of hope in times of hardships. This essay is focused on three main aspects of
the flaw: “Self-Sufficiency”, “Social Class” and “Dreams as Disillusionments”.
Within these sections, the three texts were compared respectively on its
principles of the American Dream.
