Presently, industrial-made soaps are commercially used for washing and cleaning process since it is very affordable. However research shown that despite its good cleaning and washing abilities, most of them are found to possess health-threatening chemicals. Hence the research question is: How is the effect of varying main chemical constituents of the soaps (different oils and alkalis as the main reactant) on the quality of soap in terms of its alkalinity, lathering power (foam stability), and solubility?
